And the Beat Goes On… To South Carolina, Florida, Nevada, Maine, etc, etc…

Sabtu, 25 Februari 2012

And so it goes. With global climate change you would think that the powers that be would select the primaries based more on geographical distribution rather than self importance. I know, that will never happen in a “me, me, me” country! According to the current and probably finalized schedule, Utah really does not count. Is it the rabid anti Mormon bias fed by the likes of gambling magnate  Sheldon Gary Adelson, a 78 year old billionaire, currently the 8th richest U.S. citizen, who has so far given over $6 million to the “Anybody But Romney” campaign by donating that amount to Newt Gingrich’s American Solutions for Winning the Future PAC. He might have been better off by having a big bonfire with large U.S. currency with occasional fireworks embedded. More bang for the buck.I do give the people of the U.S. some credit for intelligence, and that of course rules out Mr. Adelson’s favorite scoundrel Gingrich as well as Rick Santorum. Jon Huntsman, a smart, non-hyper partisan businessman and diplomat who served as a Mandarin-speaking ambassador to China under President Barack Obama has a lot to offer; but once again, he is disqualified because of his Mormonism. Now I don’t want to get into a religious sh*tstorm here, but even to a tolerant person like me, there is just something not quite right in my heart with that religion. But if you want to talk really weird, think scientology. So where is all this presidential pre-posturing lead to? Why, the political conventions, of course, where the best liar will become the party’s nominee. The worst liar having already been eliminated, Herbie Cain, we now have the usual gang of losers in the field, like Gingrich, Santorum, Huntsman, Romney and I’m sorry to say, Ron Paul, my grandfatherly figure with his eyebrow merkins falling off.So I have to ask myself, is the Republican Party deliberately conceding the race at this early stage? While Romney no doubt is the one that could give the president a run for his money, the U.S. electorate is not yet ready to elect a “cultist” for president, one who thinks that “Jesus Christ came to America,” etc etc.The one thing that is crystal clear is that, in the end, it is the one with the most money who wins! Every time! And that is the only danger Obama is facing. The Reagan/Bush/Bush supreme court of injustice allowed the formation of Super PAC’s that can accept unlimited donations from anonymous donors who do not have to be disclosed until after the swearing in ceremony: Democracy to the highest bidder. I am sure that is exactly what those white, male, property and slave owners had in mind when they founded the Corporate States of America. Why else would the U.S. end up with a Supreme Court that acts as a lackey to the impending fascist police state? While many of my readers may be, and should be, worried about the One World Order, the United Nations and its many sub branches, it is really your own legislative and judicial branches that should be giving you the heebie jeebies.[image: 1874 Thomas Nast cartoon featuring the first notable appearance of the Republican Party's elephant]I encourage you to write to me, jamie@expatdailynews.com with any questions or suggestions you may have, and if necessary, we can establish a voice communication via Skype. Feb 7, 2012 - The Florida Gators are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the nation, and for them to break the Kentucky Wildcats' home winning streak, everyone knew they were going to have to hit a high volume of three-pointers. They shot 25 percent from behind the arc on Tuesday, which wasn't nearly good enough to challenge an absolutely dominant Kentucky team. Terrence Jones scored just four points, but his team didn't even need him in a 78-58 victory.

Micheel Kidd-Gilchrist had a massive night with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Anthony Davis was dominant on both ends of the floor as well. Davis notched 16 points and was below has rebounding and blocked shots averages with six and four respectably, but those numbers don't tell the story of what he did. Davis was a dominant presence in the paint, constantly altering shots, and also had two steals. Kentucky's perimeter defense was also fantastic, contesting every Florida three-point shot.

Doron Lamb led the Wildcats in scoring with 18 points, while Marquis Teague contributed 12 points and 10 assists. Kenny Boynton did well for the Gators with 18 points and 4-8 shooting behind the arc, but his teammates struggled on the offensive end.

Rally Dakar, police Dummies, Florida Street in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the IMF versus

Jumat, 20 Januari 2012

This year's Dakar Rally Raid is taking its toll on the competitors and spectators. The first day alone saw three deaths, the first is a motorcycle rider Argentine Jorge Martinez Boero, who died while being transported the helicopter to the hospital after a serious accident. That same day, a father and his 12-year-old son were killed when the ultra light aircraft used for observing the race, crashed on the highway in Orense. There have been several spectacular accidents with serious injuries. The Czech crew Loprais Ales, specially modified Tatra Jamal truck, was very lucky when suffering from very serious accident multi-rollover after a mechanic, who was driving, Petr Almáši, fell asleep at the wheel, ran and lost control of the machine, the sum of the total sponsored vehicle. Two of the three passengers suffered medium-heavy, but life-threatening injuries. As Michael Ernst team navigator explains to the media, "it happened very quickly. We were very tired and you probably did not pay enough attention to the proceedings. The car suddenly went out of the way. How we went quite quickly at the time, around 100 km/h, the car plunged headlong into the sand and twice. The impact was serious, it wasn't a pleasant! "of last Thursday's stage ended up in Arequipa, Peru, the first time that the nation will visit Dakar, which will end in Lima on Sunday, January 15, 2012, after the completion of more than 5000 miles in each of the four vehicles divisions: bikes, quads, cars and trucks.Government in poor HippiesThose who know the Centro Micro Buenos Aires Florida pedestrian street, no doubt, aware of the many Dummies clings to sell their goods from mid-afternoon until late night. Lately, probably because the pie is shrinking, this fire unsightliness became a source of friction between the paying traders rent and maté sucking anarchists on the streets. Enter the megalopolis public space Minister, Diego Santilli, and you have instant confrontation between federal police and the distressed. After a few dozen un-deodorized Were Ecuadoreans, Bolivians, Brazilians, and protest at the junction of Corrientes, blocking traffic in the time honoured fashion porteño, Minister of public space has asked for the support they detect that these vagrants would restore their clearly illegal sales of goods to the public. It seems that the approach of the Kirchnerist silly requirements of the International Monetary Fund, Argentina will repay the loan, and stop the disingenuity, with which the nation produced its statistics on inflation and unemployment, bear fruit. At a press conference on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Washington, DC, Director of the IMF acting external relations Gerry rice reiterated that the Board of Directors of the Organization to meet within a few weeks time to find out what, if any, Argentina progress in relation to the Fund's request for a little more transparency and less mixing of data provided by the Government of the Southern Cone nation. Pretty much admitted that whatever the decision of the Administrative Board should come up with, sanctions against Argentina will not be included. I think that a series of discussions before they start.[image: Buenos Aires Florida street vendors, from Jamie Douglas]We recommend you to write to me, jamie@expatdailynews.com with any questions or suggestions, you may have and, if necessary, we can establish voice communication via Skype.
