And so it goes. With global climate change you would think that the powers that be would select the primaries based more on geographical distribution rather than self importance. I know, that will never happen in a “me, me, me” country! According to the current and probably finalized schedule, Utah really does not count. Is it the rabid anti Mormon bias fed by the likes of gambling magnate Sheldon Gary Adelson, a 78 year old billionaire, currently the 8th richest U.S. citizen, who has so far given over $6 million to the “Anybody But Romney” campaign by donating that amount to Newt Gingrich’s American Solutions for Winning the Future PAC. He might have been better off by having a big bonfire with large U.S. currency with occasional fireworks embedded. More bang for the buck.I do give the people of the U.S. some credit for intelligence, and that of course rules out Mr. Adelson’s favorite scoundrel Gingrich as well as Rick Santorum. Jon Huntsman, a smart, non-hyper partisan businessman and diplomat who served as a Mandarin-speaking ambassador to China under President Barack Obama has a lot to offer; but once again, he is disqualified because of his Mormonism. Now I don’t want to get into a religious sh*tstorm here, but even to a tolerant person like me, there is just something not quite right in my heart with that religion. But if you want to talk really weird, think scientology. So where is all this presidential pre-posturing lead to? Why, the political conventions, of course, where the best liar will become the party’s nominee. The worst liar having already been eliminated, Herbie Cain, we now have the usual gang of losers in the field, like Gingrich, Santorum, Huntsman, Romney and I’m sorry to say, Ron Paul, my grandfatherly figure with his eyebrow merkins falling off.So I have to ask myself, is the Republican Party deliberately conceding the race at this early stage? While Romney no doubt is the one that could give the president a run for his money, the U.S. electorate is not yet ready to elect a “cultist” for president, one who thinks that “Jesus Christ came to America,” etc etc.The one thing that is crystal clear is that, in the end, it is the one with the most money who wins! Every time! And that is the only danger Obama is facing. The Reagan/Bush/Bush supreme court of injustice allowed the formation of Super PAC’s that can accept unlimited donations from anonymous donors who do not have to be disclosed until after the swearing in ceremony: Democracy to the highest bidder. I am sure that is exactly what those white, male, property and slave owners had in mind when they founded the Corporate States of America.
